Well, the splinch patient has been stabilised. For the moment. But I'm afraid the baby's coming early, perhaps tonight. The poor dear is nearly full term though, at least, so that's a blessing.

They're all wearing these horrid iron bracelets, which they're reluctant to let anyone touch. I wonder if it's safe to remove them, but I'd like someone with more knowledge/experience with objects like these to look at them and make a determination.
